The countdown is on! Tickets go on sale on 1 November, and if last year taught us anything, it’s that entries fly out the door. Here’s your heads-up to get organised now.
T-shirt sizes are running smaller this year
Check before you register! This year’s tees come up smaller than last year’s, so don’t assume your size is the same, please check here first.
What you’ll need when you register
Have these ready before tickets drop:
- Your division (see below)
- If you’re entering Team Challenge: your team name, the full name of each team member and the t-shirt size of each team member
- One person registers the whole team and enters everyone’s details, so lock in your crew first.
How entries work
You can enter one individual division, plus the Team division if you like. Team division is optional, and you can also enter it on its own.
Choose your division
There’s a spot for every surfer at Sunny Sets. Age divisions (your age on comp day):
- 12 years and under
- 13-19 years
- 20-29 years
- 30-39 years
- 40-49 years
- 50-59 years
- 60 years and over
Open division
Open is for any age and any level, but it’s where our pros and most experienced surfers go head to head. If you want to test yourself against the best, you’re welcome to paddle out. You can enter Open or an age division, not both.
Novice division
Novice is for women who are new to surfing. If you can catch a wave, stand up and glide forward, this is your division. Surfers who can cut-back (turn) or cross-step should enter an age division or Open instead.
Team division
Grab your friends and enter as a team of four. Anything goes: mix ages, mix abilities, bring your mates. It’s one entry per team, not four individual entries. Before registering, you’ll need your team name, the full name of each team member and the t-shirt size of each team member. One person registers the whole team and enters everyone’s details, so lock in your crew first.
Be ready to go
Don’t leave it until the last minute. Last year’s tickets went fast, and we’d hate for anyone to miss out. Round up your girls, lock in your team and get ready for another unforgettable Sunny Sets!
